Ok, LTD's are overpriced korean made ESP copys.
LTD's are made in the same factory as all the other korean made lower end guitars.
But LTD pays nu metal MTV cunts to play their shitty guitars. So some people think that LTD's are "good".
But let me tell you, they are a HUGE rippoff. I have heard horror storys about how their way overpriced $1000 korean made guitars have just as shitty fretwork as their $250 korean made guitars.
I think ESP is great, because they spend extra money on better labor and have their guitars made in Japan.
If you are going to even think about LTD, you could get an Ibanez RG570 thats made in japan for about $550, or a non-trem RG421 that also has a japanese made body and neck for about $350 (best priced guitar on earth at this second).
So no, LTD's are low quality in my opinion compared to other guitars in their price range. |

Yup, damn straight.
The RG421's have a strat style string through fixed bridge, and I played one and it sustained like a mother fucker, just like mt les paul.
I'd get one if the necks werent so skinny.
I mean for $350, its easily as good as a $600 or more guitar.
The stock buckers arent that good, but I have heard good things about the middle single coil of the RG570.
Since the guitar is basswood, you could throw some EVH signature Dimarzio's in their and you will sound fucking great. |

There are also some neck through RG's at that site and they may look neat but remember the RG421 has a japanese made body and neck, and its way better than the Korean made RG's.
If you have anymore questions let me know, I hate seeing people buy korean guitars that "look" good but are actually made of lower quality wood and softer metal parts. |

I dont know how much www.guitartrader.com charges for shipping over the pond, but even if it were $100 it would be worth it.
Put it this way, this guitar is a mid-level guitar not a beginner guitar. It's going for $297.00, but it could EASILY sell for $600. And even at $600 it would be a cool guitar.
The quality control on the japan made RG's is much better than the Korean made RG's so you wont have to worry as much about paying a shitload for shipping and getting stuck with a flawed from the factory guitar.

Actually, its hard to get good guitars in europe.
And tons of the best amps (Marshall/Diezel) are made in Germany and actually cost less over there, in the case of Diezel amps they cost $4500 in America and $2000 in Germany its THAT fucked up.
I have heard storys of Australians paying 3 times the price as we do for American made strats. That is fucking insane. |

The squier is only good for accoustic purposes unfortunately.
He wouldn't urgently need an amp though, his bass amp will do the trick, for the use he'd have of the guitar. (neon don't hate me for that remark). I like the warm sound I get with his big bass amp when I play guitar on it though. |

Believe me I know all about how bass amps can be great for guitar.
Some of the best clean sounds EVER can be found by playing a guitar through a bas amp.
Fender bassman, Ampeg V-4, both are known for their good clean sounds but are actually bass amps. |
