Shots Through Window Kill Woman, Boy
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - A gunman fired through a window into a Thanksgiving party, killing a woman and a 5-year-old boy and injuring two others.
The gunman stood on the front lawn and opened fire at close range into a large crowd inside the home, neighbors said. Neighbors said they heard about eight gunshots in rapid succession. The man fled.
At least three generations of one family lived in the home, neighbors said.
One victim, a 19-year-old University of Washington student, died Friday after undergoing surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center, said police spokesman Jim Mattheis. The 5-year-old boy died Thursday at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.
A 20-year-old woman, wounded in the abdomen, was in serious condition at Tacoma General Hospital, and a 22-year-old man, wounded in the leg, was in satisfactory condition, hospital spokesman Peter Frohmader said. |
