| I got my california drivers license, but I had to take the test three times before I passed. The laws are a bit different from illinois's laws and I didn't even look at the book to study it at all. Good thing I got it right on the third or I would have had to come back in two weeks and stand in that aweful line again to retake it.... |

| in Queensland, they give something like 15 or 20 multiple choice questions in order to get your learners permit, where you can rive with someone on their full license. after 6 months of holding that, you can take the driven test where some fat guy who looks and talks like Harold Bishop off neighbours blocks the vision on your mirrors, and marks you down for it. |
