| I just heard it and like contagious, footlong, and looking out for number 1 the best. I realize that nowadays I want something different, and the new album is different. And it doesn't only have 10 songs on it either. However, I still believe that MY band's upcoming Cd will be better. Once I can, I will let everyone download it so they can concurr. Gusto is cool, I like the hillbilly twist, everyone likes country a little bit more as they get older, especially where I'm from, hillbilly land, right next door to ghetto city, I love Surrey. |

| I went at a guttermouth show and I found that Can I borrow some ambition, that's life and chug a lug night were vey good live songs, and love them on the album, I read in a mag "we must admit that guttermouth had'nt released nothing really good but Cover with ants changes the deal, it'a powerful funny catchy album." or smth like that, ain't it funny ? |

The last album (Pump up the valuum) from Nofx is very different from the one before (so long...) to me. And the decline is a fucking masterpiece and if you listen to the drumming of the decline, over the speed you'll see that it's amazing. and it's eriK by the way.
I think in punk rock the drumming doesn't have to be too complicated, for me it doesn't have to be like "the drumming is amazing" but "the song is amazing", it's the same for a guitar solo, it's "it sounds good" not "this guitarist is good". Listen to a suicidal record and then to the last bad religion, it's the same drummer but it's less "look at what I can do" because it's more traditionnal punk rock. Now I don't remember what I was talking about. |

I am 26 and still listening to Guttermouth after 10 years and get a fuckin' kick outta watchin 15-19 years olds at Guttermouth shows and rockin out to their crap thinkin' they are punk.
What the hell does a 19 year old know about the politics of punk? Why the hell does a 15 year old think that by listening to the Clash and Dead Kennedys that he is truly punk?
Guttermouth used to be rad b/c they didn't care what the people thought and just played music for themselves. Now they finally want to make money...which is understandable.
And the only way to make money nowadays in the media is to be as GAY AS FUCK and produce SHIT.
So I hope Guttermouth continues to produce shit to all the people who buy the albums for $17.99 and the true fans just laugh at the fuckers at the shows. We all know who you are. You high school skateboarding rich boys who think you are punk. Losers. |
