the punk minority has been dragged down and has suffered, now they deserve their own space to express theirself.
Of course piercings and tatoos would be obligatory, you would also be obliged to hate offspring and Green Day, to be elligible you would have to be more punk than the others, you shall hate bad religion too because they've been on a major label and say that RATM are hypocrites.
You won't have the right to listen to non-punk music, except some reaggae or ska, also you'll have to defend the integrity of your band by your own technique ("after all these years we are still the same members": Pennywise technique, "we make albums but we don't want to sold them so we don't make people know when we do one": rancid technique, "there's been only 3 or 4 real punk albums and I think our first did it well": Suicidal Tendencies technique, "we don't sell anything and we sound shitty, that's what is punk, all the good bands are commercial": common technique).
As a fan you'll always have to say that the first album of a band was the best, because often nobody knows it and it sounds shitty so then you'll look underground, if the 1st album was too terrible just say that the new sucks and that the music was better before, dont forget it : the punk was better in 77 and each new album of any band is a good occasion to say it.
Don't forget to have lyrics against violence but don't forget to fight often after your shows.

I'm also a really big fan of suicidal tendencies (and Pennywise too) but they bore me with their "this is not punk" attitude, they preach the "be yourself" attitude and they put on their site pics of people imitating the look of cyco Miko (with a car with "suicidal tendencies" written on it), that's bullshit, and then in popsong they say "they've got the look but the music is junk", who is building smth around the look there ? They bore me also when they always say "suicidal" in their songs, that's a rapper thing always to say their names in their song, and the pride too, always insisting on the pride, pride is shit. I love Suicidal and I think Cyco Miko's an integer person, but I also think he's a moron who hate a lot of things by instinct and then try to find politic reasons, that's it. |

Ok, be my disciple , start by stopping to listen to hip hop. The fact is that Punk and Hip Hop should work together. But rappers don't bring nothing (musically, emotionnaly etc..), don't ask questions (or don't even understand what they say), search the rhyme before the sense, are violent people (someone tells me why the hell these suckers have to be took in gang gunshots affairs when they earn so much money ?).
But rap is not happy enough with that, because it's trying (and succeeding) to infect rock.
The point of all the hip hop songs is to say "Hey I'm the man, look at my people, shake your ass baby". I don't know underground american rap so I can't say but what I know is that in my country underground rappers just do the same that known rappers with a worse production.
Forget it listen to what you want but never talk rap to me. |

i know dr. dre and snoop dogg don't communic8 shit, i know they r misoginist and dat they're always the same. but i like the music, daz it. as i like guttermouth cuz of the music and not the words, so i like rap. and italian rap is a bit different, here rap is a lot more underground...or rappers r not commercial, not many at least. there's some very good rappaz here, such as frankie hi-nrg and othaz.

| It seems to me that the entire attitude of punk is that of rebellion and anarchy, so for a bunch of true punks to come together under one nation would be (for lack of a better, less cliche word) hypocritical. I think I'm just fine living here in America where I am allowed to be an ignorant dumbass and laugh as we bomb the living hell out of a bunch of Afgans. Unfortunatley, punk people are too lazy to form a functional country. It would be fun untill we got conquered or assimilated or whatever the hell big nations do to crush smaller ones these days. And if you are actually reading at this point it is a shame because I lost my train of thought about a quarter way into this message and my lecture has gone on into a sort of rambling away that makes me feel powerful in some pervese manner. |
